A HANGAR FOR GRILLING TONGS - GLASGOW, SCTOLAND - DAY 3
Another small and uneventful day. We ran the last few errands, went to the vet party at 5pm and danced until 1AM. We’re getting up in 5hours to leave for our adventure. Before we left, I simply got to watch Netflix while Andrea cleaned and packed. I offered to help, but everything has its place, and she insisted I leave her to it. I keep cleaning the dishes though, so I hope that’s a good way of contributing.
The dance itself was a freaking blast. I know it’s Scottish summer, but holy schmoly it’s cold. I have enough warm clothes for the hikes and camping but in the city I keep underestimating how cold it is because the sun is out. Everyone cracks bottles and starts drinking while the sun is still out to begin the celebrations. We get the grills going as well for the barbeque. No one thought to bring grilling tongs, and all we have is a clothing hangar. Andrea disappears for a bit, until of course- I find her to be the one flipping burgers with this hangar. She's a woman of many talents. We scarf down burger after burger until all of the food is gone. Sorted.
Everyone is extremely nice. I’m a bit awkward because I don’t know anyone. Moreover, I hadn't been to college in four years- Everyone is really young, and I feel like an old fart. I went for moral support for Andrea- This is her night. And I got to dance for hours which I loved! I still felt too old for all of it, but if I was dancing with friends my age, I wouldn’t think twice.
We got home and ate fried eggs. Andrea has a special concoction of fried eggs, on a raisin toasted bagel with syrup and peanut butter. I thought it’s just a wrong thing to put together and eat. I tried it...and it’s..okay...Not wrong, but not right either haha!
Andrea’s already in the shower and I’ll follow shortly after to go to bed right away and get on the road as quickly as we can. The real adventures begin tomorrow!!
Love you all!
