DAD CALLED...AGAIN - STOCKHOLM TO GOTLAND, SWEDEN -DAY 11
Woke up bright and early, ate breakfast, showered, and had nice quiet girl time before heading straight into the storm.
We were ready and out the door by noon. We drove out to Nynäshamn and made it to the ferry early. I earned major brownie points by loading and carrying all the bags, taking the trash out, helping with the laundry and breakfast cleanup. I even bought everyone a snack- Korvs, smörgås and glas. *(Hot dogs, sandwiches and ice cream).
The ferry was long because we were bored, but I tried to nap and listen to music. Dad was so excited to see us, he called three times. Oj haha!
We eventually docked, got the car, got to our cabin that Dad surprised us with and upgraded, and headed to the party. It was a full love fest seeing friends and family that I haven’t seen for three years- Some for 10 years. Julia, *(my cousin), is so happy. Two happy brides to be at this beautiful wedding!
We played games in the field, and they served everyone drinks and korv. It was really good fun, they had music going, and some rainbow themed accessories. I even told some of the family later in the evening about the Norwegian family I had met, and everyone’s really excited to meet them someday soon! They think I'm really brave for going out on my own, and bridging the gap that had existed for decades.
We went to bed “early”, at midnight, and mentally prepared for the full wedding the next day.
Love you Auntie Nano!
